Funk Guitar. Two Rhythm Styles Through Two Songs
Feb 21, 2025Here's a video to show you the two primary types of guitar parts in funk music, as I see it.
It's applicable to many other styles of music as well, so if you pay attention you may be able to spot this same type of pattern in other genres as well.
I use two great songs to demonstrate this idea, and those are:
"Chief" by Lettuce
&
"The Payback" by James Brown
These are both very fun songs to listen to, play along to and dance to. If you are new to them, I think you'll enjoy!
